Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Postby fitchp » Tue Feb 18, 2014 10:23 am

Need some help with my keeper selection. Below is each player's keeper value for this year. Can keep up to 10 players and up to 22 pts. 12 team H2H

Tulo, Verlander, Hamels - 7 pts
Ellsbury, Reyes - 6 pts
Holliday, Heyward, C. Santana - 5 pts
Bumgarner - 4 pts
Scherzer, Kipnis - 3 pts
Medlen, Machado, Headley - 2 pts
Ortiz, EverCab, Corbin, A. Soriano, Brantley, Janssen - 1 pt

Thanks!

Scherzer 3
Kipnis 3
Machado 2
Ortiz 1
Soriano 1
EverCab 1
Tulo 7
Bum 4

8 players & 22 points

I like this question...this was my first impression, would be interested to see what some others thought.

Basically along the lines of what I was thinking. Still debating between EverCab, Soriano, Medlen, Brantley, Corbin for the last couple of points.

Anyone else have an opinion? Grey?

Thanks!

Interesting, how are "points" determined?

Tulo-7
Bum-4
Scherzer 3
Kipnis 3
Machado 2
Ortiz-1
Ecab-1
Rosenthal-1 ( top closer over a bench OF options for lowest keeper price)

Attack hitting early, hold off on pitching for a while.

@friendoffantasy
12 team 6 keeper.

C-
1B- Goldschmidt
2B-
3B-Machado
SS-
OF- Bautista
OF- Bruce
OF- Rios
OF- Puig
UTIL- Longoria

Bench: Pujols,

SP- Harvey, Miller, Samardzija, Cole

Points have been determined based on draft position, and number of years kept. Once they get tossed back in the draft pool, values reset.

I traded Rosenthal and Balfour for extra keeper points.

Here's the revised list:
Tulo, Verlander, Hamels - 7 pts
Ellsbury, Reyes - 6 pts
Holliday, Heyward, C. Santana - 5 pts
Bumgarner - 4 pts
Scherzer, Kipnis - 3 pts
Medlen, Machado, Headley - 2 pts
Ortiz, EverCab, Corbin, A. Soriano, Brantley, Janssen - 1 pt

So do you have more than 22 points now?

If not, Al-So or Brantley- I'd go with the upside of Brantley
12 team 6 keeper.

1B- Goldschmidt
2B-
3B-Machado
SS-
OF- Bautista
OF- Bruce
OF- Rios
OF- Puig
UTIL- Longoria

Bench: Pujols,

SP- Harvey, Miller, Samardzija, Cole

No, I have 22 pts. I was working on the deal, and included the 2 extra points, in case that changed up the selections.
