Semi-finals (week 2 of playoffs): SP and C help

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Semi-finals (week 2 of playoffs): SP and C help

Postby Deltron » Sun Sep 08, 2013 12:47 pm

Rolled my way to the semis. My opponent has Hamels @ WAS, Kershaw v. SF, Chacin (@ SF, @ ARI) and Medlen (@ MIA, v. SD) going this week.

Pick 4:
Felix v. HOU
Wainwright v. SEA
Latos @ MIL
H. Bailey @ MIL
Ervin Santana @ CLE, @ DET
Ubaldo v. KC, @ CHW

I feel like Felix, Wainwright and Latos are must starts. I'm torn on the 4th SP but I'm leaning towards Ubaldo. I know Ervin was listed as a must start but I don't trust him against those lineups (think home run ball). During the playoffs, we're allowed one add/drop per week and Ubaldo is a free agent. If I decide not to go with Ubaldo, then I can pick up Miguel Montero (3 @ LAD, 3 v. COL) to replace A.J. Ellis (3 v. ARI, 4 v. SF). Any thoughts?
12-teamer, H2H, points, 4 keepers.
Hitters: +1 single, +2 dbl, +3 trpl, +4 HR, +1 RBI, +1 run, +1 BB/HBP, -1 K, +2 SB, -1 CS
Pitchers: +1.5 IP, +1 K, -1 BB/HBP, +5 W, -3 L, +4 S, -2 BS, +3 CG, +10 shutout
Start one player at each position + utility, 4 SPs, 2 RPs. 8 reserves.

I'd go the first three and Ubaldo...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
