final stretch

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

final stretch

Postby anchovies » Tue Aug 21, 2012 1:57 pm

somehow ive crawled out from the basement to clawing for a playoff spot. cant afford a let down at this point.

quick question...vs. whats on the wire, would any changes be a benefit to me, especially in the hitting department. (hr/rbi/runs, especially).

waivers:

todd frazier (1b, of)
mark reynolds (1b, 3b)
goldy (1b)
tyler colvin (1b, of)
aaron hill (1b)
dustin ackley (1b,2b)
jose altuve (2b)
aybar (ss)
david dejesus (of)
ryan ludwick (of)
chris young (ari) (of)
lucroy (c)
ruggiano (of)

i'm basically looking to make an improvement over what i have now. 2 moves are what i have to work with...if any. i could use them to stream a pitcher if my lineup shouldnt be messed with...if i dance with the one who brung me [sic]...

as always, appreciate your time and thoughts.\

thanks

At 1B, I'd try to find a spot for Goldschmidt, I'd probably take him over Rizzo. Frazier also seems like an useful add as long as he plays when Votto comes off the DL. He has been making great, solid contact lately.

In the OF, I'd probably take a chance on a hot hitting Ludwick or Frazier over either Markakis or Rasmus.

1. Goldy
2. Frazier
3. Ludwick
4. Lucroy

I think those players potentially upgrade your team, everyone else looks like a step down from who you currently have rostered.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

how about dumping Markakis (who hasnt been that bad for me) for either Goldy (1b) or Frazier (1b, of). again, i could use a bit of power...but i can forgo a cat here or there for consistency in all cats. (some grabbed Ludwick before i had a chance to think this through).

thanks again

when Votto comes back, someone will have to go anyway. ill have 3 1st basemen and picking up a hot bat right now--until then seems enticing. its a redraft league too.

who do you think goes? it makes sense that its one of my 1st basemen (butler, rizzo).

could really use someone to put me over the top with runs, rbis and hr's this week. cant afford to lose these last few weeks or im cooked.

frazier
tyler colvin
kubel
aaron hill

thanks again,

aaand again...
