Who should I pick up?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Belt will start in minors, you need a 1B.
I would go Gamel or Smoak.
Not a Rasmus fan. Carp has 25 hr power.

I love Boesch this year and Gamel is a hitter. I'd pick both those two up and drop Hill since you already have 2 2B, and Feliz who I don't like and is already having arm issues.
Cozart might also be an upgrade over Aviles. Pick up Dempster as a 5th starter, pitches in the NL central where all teams are very hitter light.

1B Miggy
2B Profar

SS Correa

I could definitely see grabbing Stephen Drew and stashing him on the DL soon as it's an option. Lot of upside over Aviles when he's back.

I agree with some of the assessments so far - Gamel or Carp are interesting reaches who could flounder easily.

If Belt doesn't start the season you have a big problem.

Anyone think Morneau is done? For sure? If not he's a .300 and 25/100 candidate and a former 1st/2nd rounder who's had a couple of bad years.

Aviles could be a real problem if he doesn't get the job too...

I'd drop VWells personally, but that's me. Who else is droppable...hmm

Any other ideas on the top two people to drop?

I'm thinking of picking up Gamel, and maybe Drew (to DL) him.

I'd say Wells as I mentioned. Otherwise I think Neftali Feliz will bust as a starter - along the way his shoulder will hurt and he'll pitch through it and... oh wait that's already starting to happen. I don't really follow texas that much however so take my rambling with a grain of salt.

I think Aaron Hill looks expendable as well - I'm assuming no one else in your league is desperate for a 2b.

There you go - drop Aaron Hill, pick up Drew, put on D/L, pick up Gamel. Go put your feet up and relax the rest of the way.

I like Boesch's chances this year on that team.

Boesch is no longer available (first player to be picked up on waivers in my league).

I picked up Gamel and dropped Jonathan Sanchez.

Still thinking about getting another shortstop (Cozart is available), or another starting pitcher (Baker, McCarthy, Cahill, Jackson, and Dempster are available). I think I *should* roster one more SP, but have been waivering on who to pick. My gut tells me to go either either of the first three (Baker, McCarthy, or Cahill) -- but have been unsure who to drop. The waiver for hitters is quite thin now that we are playing with two UTIL spots in my league...

Wells could bounce back and have a decent year, and does have power, but he could also do quite poorly and be traded and/or released.

Hill was terrible and is inconsistent, but played good last September in Arizona, and has the potential to be a bright start (he had a good average one year, good pop in two years, and good SB last year).

Rasmus cannot be dropped...

I don't want to drop Gamel until he proves he can't handle the majors. He could be awesome.

So, it really leaves me with either doing nothing, dropping Wells or Hill, or potentially swapping out one of my current pitchers (Colby Lewis?) with one that I mentioned above...

McCarthy is no longer available...
