Re: Billy Wagner
The AP is reporting that not only is Wagner going to miss the rest of this season.. but also all of 2009 after he has elbow surgery later this week.
I'm looking forward to seeing if the same genius in one of my leagues who kept Liriano since 2006 also hangs onto Wagner.

Nice. Thanks, Grey.
Wigginton
The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Ty Wigginton will be out 8-10 days with a groin injury. It doesn't sound like he's going on the DL - so he's just going to eat up roster space if you don't drop him.

Re: Good Pitching Matchups - Week 24
I was going to ask the group which of these was the better matchup, but let's just go w/ which is bad, worse, worser, worst.
Johnny Cueto @ Arizona
Pedro vs. Atlanta (though I wonder if he gets skipped)
Brandon Morrow @ LAA
Verlander @ CHW

Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Quentin's MRI results reveal a wrist fracture that will require surgery. Looks like he's done.

Re: Good Pitching Matchups - Week 24
One could do worse than 2 starts from Nick Blackburn (if available) next week. Home against KC, then @ Baltimore.

Speaking of Petco.. if he's not already owned, Hiroki Kuroda will be pitching in Petco next week.

Re: Good Pitching Matchups - Week 24
As Grey's already pointed a bunch, Randy Wolf is scheduled to start against the Pirates this tuesday. That should give hi 2 starts next week - but with the 2nd coming against the Cubs. This time at home. Can he duplicate the magic he had at Wrigley? If he dazzles on Tuesday (even though it's against...
