p0rk made a boo-boo

So I figured my office on a Sunday would be a good place to draft - nobody around to distract me, fridge access, all that jazz. Things were great until my boss showed up. Next thing I know he's blathering on about TPS reports and swiping my sweet-ass red Swingline stapler while I'm botching my picks...

Re: confirm my genius

Yes, Joey will sit in the corner and think about what he did.

You hear that Chet? No Votto for you!

This league allows you to keep between 3 and 5 players, one of which must be a pitcher. The pitcher seems easy enough, CC is the no-brainer. The bats get complicated. Jose Reyes, Ian Kinsler, and Teix are a lock for the first three. Do I keep the 4th or go for the earlier draft pick? I think I have ...

Re: Schmoes!

I need to make a preliminary list of 7 players prior to the draft. Of this list, 3 batters and 1 pitcher will be kept as keepers. Seven seems to be a stretch, but what do you suggest? For keepers, I think B.Phil, Votto, and Prince. Is JJ Rollins still keeper worthy over Votto at this point? Johan s...

Fire Sale

With a team that is not only dead last, but dead last with a DNR pinned to its chest, I'm looking to sell the studs that don't quite reach keeper status or even one that may be past his prime to upgrade. Our league keeps 3 bats and a pitcher. Johan seems a no brainer as the arm, and Prince joins him...

Re: A steaming pile of shizz

Pettite and Ervin are needed for arms. There are about 8 starters available on the wire. Are you saying Pettite is one of the 8 worst pitchers in the game right now? Kotchman was your suggestion for filling in for A-ram. I shoulda zagged and gone with Blake, at least he's getting PT. Kotchman is gon...

Re: A steaming pile of shizz

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I'm 22 games back of the last playoff spot at this point. My only respectable offensive stats are stolen bases and Ks, and even then I'm 5-3-1 on the season. My pitching is consistently mediocre. Is this a case of the injury bug sinking me early? Or am I just...

A steaming pile of shizz

This team sucks. Absoeffinlutely sucks. At the start of Saturday I was down 18-0 in my H2H matchup. What the hell do I do with this monstrosity? Obviously I need to ditch Bonifacio and Kotchman isn't doing me any good, Gamel has probably outworn his welcome and S-Rod was a flier. Its a keeper league...

Maybin's night

I think the three k night is summed up with Rich Waltz's comment as Maybin walked to the dugout upon striking out in the bottom of the ninth: "[Arthur Rhodes] carves Maybin up who, apparently, was looking for something other than a fastball down the middle."
