Re: Carpenter?

He has an oblique tear and is in a lot of pain. That was a brief honeymoon, wasn't it? They're saying 4-6 weeks, if I remember correctly, but my guess is it's longer.

Kuroda

Concerned?

He sounds ok, but I dunno. With Bedard, Johnson and Ziegler all playing prominent (and bargain) roles for my lone fantasy team right now, I worry that the god of rotator cuffs may punish me for my hubris.

Re: Are you aware...

Ack! It's still there! Is this a permanent sponsorship, or something?

On a side note, if "Hello Kitty's Judgemental Eyes" doesn't win this week, I am going to be pissed.

Are you aware...

...that Gay Ebony Dating is one of the banner ads that occasionally pops up on this site? An apparently naked black man (can't see what's going on below the waist) doing hammer curls or somesuch. Don't get me wrong, Grey and Rudy, I have nothing against gays, ebonies (is that a kind of pony?), datin...

Re: Scott Baker

I like Pettite vs. the Royals. Andy is looking pretty sharp right now, and it's the Royals, man.

Re: What do I do about Price?

How old is Brian Roberts...31? In a four year contract league, there's some age risk there for a guy whose biggest value is in steals. That said, he's better than the rest of that lot. Why did you even list Street? Ugh... As far as Price/Wieters goes...don't waste a 3rd round pick on Wieters. This i...

Re: Keeper League Q

Both Kinsler and Markakis are better keepers than blowjob. Kinsler should be your 4th offensive keeper. You're in a league that only rosters 3 OF, meaning the falloff at OF is not nearly as steep as it is at the middle infield positions. Even if you, like, hit your head real hard and for some reason...

Re: What would you do?

Rollins Beltran Soriano Holliday Berkman Fielder In a league where you're normally keeping star players for four years without penalty, Berkman and Soriano should not even be considered here. So it comes down to Beltran, Holliday, Rollins and Fielder. If you have Reyes and Tulo already, then there'...

Re: last keeper...

I'd personally take Tulo over Pence, and not even consider V-Mart. It's a matter of personal preference, I suppose; neither Tulo nor Pence is a super keeper. I personally think they will produce similar stats next season, but Tulo at a much more valuable position. If you think Pence will improve on ...

Re: Price v. Shields

H2H yahoo.com keeper league. I have to keep Price right over Shields right? Ummmm...no. Price is still far from proven, while Shields is a borderline top-10 pitcher with a solid track record, no injury history and still only 27 years old. Even in the long run, there's a very good chance you'll be b...
