Re: Trevor Cahill

Thanks, Disciple. Looking at Cahill's next start against the Tigers, Granderson is the only dangerous lefty in that lineup. Gotta say Cahill looks like a strong matchup play there, and he may end up being a must-start by the end of the year.

Trevor Cahill

Thoughts? Seems like the kid's getting his shit together somewhat under the radar at this point. Interesting stats thus far. He's sitting at 2-2 ; 3.69 ERA ; 1.51 WHIP. The WHIP is abhorrent, but numbers across the board look a lot better without the one stinker against Tampa (2.2 IP ; 8 hits ; 7 ER...

Re: SP

If you're in a league that penalizes losses (like mine), be careful with Gaudin today, who although he gets a turn in Petco is going against Billingsley and a powerhouse Dodgers offense. Jaku might be more enticing at home against Oakland. He's been strong in 2 of 3 starts so far this year and, well...

Re: Cutting Hanrahan loose. Who to grab?

What we have learned so far in this young season is that the hook comes quick in D.C.

Re: Cutting Hanrahan loose. Who to grab?

I just dropped Hanrahan for Rafael Soriano, myself. Soriano might get fewer save opportunities, but as my league also scores holds, the saves and holds combined with his uncrappiness compared to Hanrahan made it a no-brainer. In your situation, I'd pick up either Fowler, Stewart or Dukes, depending ...

Edwin Jackson at home vs. Yanks today

If this was in New York, I wouldn't be asking, but I'm leaning towards yes. Jackson has been pretty good this season, the Yanks aren't exactly killing the ball and he's going against the glory that is Phil Hughes. Thoughts?

Re: The Watertown Wanksters

Yeah, my keepers coming into this season were definitely strong. I feel like I've hit the bullseye with my pitching thus far. Shields and Wainwright were my top two choices and they've been fine, but my middle-late rounders are just ridiculous right now: Johnson (thanks, Grey), Broxton, Bedard (my o...

Re: Denys whoring his team - year 2.

Bailing on Maybin was the right move. In a league with only 42 OF roster slots and apparently no transaction limit, you have no reason to hold onto kids who are just up there flailing.

The Watertown Wanksters

Ok, here is my team this season. For starters, it's a non-standard, winner-take-all Head-to-Head points league. ESPN format - 10 starts weekly cap (can go over on Sunday). 100 total transactions yearly. Thus far, I'm 2-0 and looking good for a win in week 3, as well. I've made 12 transactions thus f...
