Re: Super Utility and streaming positions
Both Prado and Zobrist were above replacement value last year, esp at middle infield slots. My point is related to streaming but not necessarily exclusively a streaming topic I guess. Streaming just complicates it. If the strategic objective is to maximize games played because of the paucity of offe...

Super Utility and streaming positions
Last year Zobrist played 125 games at 2b, 21 at SS (just holding on to eligibility there), and 44 in the OF. 190 games played! Martin Prado played 32 games at 2b, 113 @ 3b, 1 at short and 30 in the OF for a total of 175 fantasy eligible "appearances". If you take a streaming approach to offense in R...

Re: Oaktown
Apparently MLB has already told the A's that San Jose is a no go. The reason it's even still a topic is that the A's like a lot of teams are owned by a partnership many of whom bought in as a gamble on a move to SJ greatly enhancing the value of their shares. Wolff is the front guy so the other part...

Oaktown
Oaktown Jay: Did you see the news in SI online? Selig sent A's a letter months ago "stop pursuing SJ." Oaktown Steve: Funny thing is the As because of their success are great for baseball. They give hope to small market teams. And it's great for fans like us. Only ones it doesn't work for are the pu...

A very odd snack
every week I buy a whole organic chicken. I bring it home and bone out the breasts, cut the legs and wings into the standard six pieces and save the rest for stock. The drums, thighs and wings I put in the oven in glass Pyrex with just olive oil and salt and bake. When I take it out of the oven I po...

Razzball Informal ROS Contest?
I was thinking it would be cool to do a contest among 12 commenters for the ROS.
Pick 3 players and 2 SPs, 1 SP or RP and one Wild Card (any pitcher or player). 5x5 roto scoring.

Re: Chris Davis Madness
It's not a question of if regression. Just how much. I'm on the side of not as much. I'm a believer. He's going opposite field. The line drive rate is high so even when he's not hitting home runs, he's hitting the ball hard.
