Re: Medlen

The Braves are running a six man rotation for the rest of the month so Medlen is probably not going back to the pen, especially when you look at his numbers as a starter.

Re: Trade McCutch?

You can do a whole lot better for McCutchen IMO. Wainwright's on fire so he'd be nice to acquire, but Dunn's career numbers suggest that he almost always has a worse August and September than any other month... He's already a massive batting average drain, if he doesn't hit 8 or more HR's a month he...

Re: Bruce - Time to Cut Bait?

That's the problem with Bruce... When you look at his stats, he always looks pretty solid at the end of the year (Like that one time when he hit like 4 HR's in the last two games to pad his stats a bit more), but owning him all season just sucks. I'm never drafting Bruce again.

Re: Anibal

Yup I'm probably about to drop him... He's been terrible from June onward. His K's are still pretty solid, but he kills my ERA and WHIP just about every week now. His three straight quality starts made me think that maybe he was back on track, but he's been getting killed again lately, besides his C...

Re: Trent Richardson

Cleveland was 28th in the NFL in rushing last year and even with the emergence of Hillis in 2010 they were 20th. I don't see Trent having a monster year... He's used to playing for Alabama where the running game was the absolute focus and his offensive line opened up huge holes as they were able to ...

Re: Uggla - cut my losses?

Well being on the bench is a given; he wouldn't be playing well otherwise!

Re: Jay Bruce - Overrated?

I took him in the 4th round in one league and he's basically warmed my bench the entire time since May. I should have dropped him long ago, but I have the same syndrome with Bruce that Trey has with Uggla.
It's a difficult syndrome to get rid of, sadly... Tim Lincecum says hi, too!

Re: Keeper League: Felix or Kershaw?

I'd say definitely Kershaw... If his current ERA and K rate hold, he'll have four seasons of an ERA under 3 and three seasons of more than 200 strikeouts as a 24 year old.

Re: Uggla - cut my losses?

Uggla is hitting more line drives and less ground balls than any of his past 4 or 5 seasons. His Hr/FB is much lower than it has typically been... He's not going to win any batting titles, but there's no way that a power surge can be completely ruled out right now, especially when he has a well-doc...
