Re: H2H Closer strategy

To update, this situation didn't even come up. The first two guys inexplicably passed on Kelly Johnson, who I picked as Utley insurance/a solid IF or Util guy if Utley ever does get back to the field. My next two picks were Nolasco and Chris Perez, so I still ended up getting guys I liked from those...

H2H Closer strategy

I'm in a snake draft that will be starting in the 11th round. I have the 3rd pick, then not again until 22. I don't see much value in the batters available, especially since I'm set at OF and C and that seems to be where the best remaining players are. I'm targeting SP and RP in the first two rounds...

Re: 2nd Overall Pick Trade

What 1B are you expecting to slide to you? If it's anyone past Youk on Grey's list, I'm not sure you're getting great value, and I'd advise considering a 1B with your 12-13 picks.

Re: Keeper Trade involving Prospects

You'd rather have Rasmus/Markakis/Zobrist (leaning Rasmus right now) and whatever flotsam or jetsam ends up washing up on my shores during the draft (Asdrubal, Aybar...Pennington) than Jeter and some other OF (I don't know who, but someone undoubtedly better than my SS choices)? I'm not counting on ...

Re: New trade opp

I'd absolutely do that. Both your guys have higher chances of regressing than they do of putting up equal or better numbers as 2010, while Wainwright should be steady as he's been the last 3 years and Tabata has SB and BA upside.

Keeper Trade involving Prospects

12 team 5x5 roto league We can keep 6 "full keepers" or MLB keepers We also have 8-man MiLB rosters If you bring a guy up through your MiLB roster, you get to keep him for 2 years as a "farm keeper", meaning he doesn't count against your 6 MLB keeper limit, and you basically just pick him in the las...

Re: Trade Crawford in a dynasty league?

Who would you have to boot from your keeper list to fit the new extra guy? Wieters or Andrus make sense.

Re: first keeper season...possible deals...thoughts

I'd keep Santana and Scherzer and throw back Rasmus, if that's possible

Re: Keeper League #1

Yeah, what? I was reading through the comments wondering why no one had said Carlos Santana. I think you absolutely take a top 6, under 25-year old Catcher at that point. You'll be able to draft 1B and SP.

Re: Wainright or Lincecum?

Agree, gotta be Lincecum. Wainwright is a little more of an injury risk as well, according to Stephania Bell. Not that I trust her blindly or anything, but I like Lincecum more anyway, and that's one factor that would help support my lean.
