Re: J. Upton and Taillon for Braun?

That's what I'm doing. Braun's owner seems to be getting impatient and might move him elsewhere, but I can't risk Braun having a lingering problem and costing me. Honestly, even if Braun plays and stops stealing bases, I'll probably cost myself 1 point in SB, and that could be something to consider....

J. Upton and Taillon for Braun?

Hey folks, I'm in a 12-team 5x5 roto league with 6 regular keepers/yr and an 8-man MiLB roster. If you bring a player up through your farm system, you get to keep him for free the 2 offseasons after the season in which he burns his rookie eligibility. I'm in the race (jockeying back and forth at 1-2...

Re: Jeter / Markakis

I don't like Jeter. That said, do it. He's better than Desmond and Markakis is very expendable. It makes your team better.

Re: Dynasty Trade: Teheran for Shields

Tough decision, but if you're really in contention to win this year, try to win this year. Teheran is nice and has high upside, but Shields gives you exactly what you need right now and Gordon helps your depth at 3B and OF. Next year is the end of the Mayan calendar anyway.

Re: Greinke and Izturis for Michael Young and Michael Morse

I'd do it if you didn't already have 2 Brewers SP. 3 guys from the same team is not a huge deal, I guess. Shop around for other guys, but Greinke's numbers are lagging behind his peripherals and he's been K'ing everyone, so he looks like a good get.

Chacin, Cahill, Liriano, Romero, etc.?

This goes out to everyone, as I already got Grey's opinion on at least one aspect of this question (I'd like your continued input as well, Grey, if it ain't no thang) 12 team mixed 6x6 H2H with 10 keepers plus farm keepers for homegrown prospects (don't count against regular keeper total for 2 years...

Re: Who to add? (Pick 2) Beckham, Hill, Pena, Alvarez

I know he's looked bad, but Alvarez makes the most sense. I'm also an A-Ram owner, and I'd never be in a position where I didn't have another 3B on my roster. It's just his nature to miss stints of time, and you don't want to have to pick up Jack Hannahan. If Alvarez still sucks in 2 weeks, drop him...

Re: Pedroia

Do it. Weeks is not too much less valuable than Pedroia, if at all. The only difference in value would be Weeks injury history, but it's not like Pedroia has been the second coming of Cal Ripken, Jr. anyway. Chacin is a rotation upgrade. Simple as that.

Re: How would you rank these five pitchers moving forward

Volquez is either #1 or #3, depending on how badly you need K. He has the highest upside by far, and is much better than his current numbers indicate. He WILL be much better the rest of the year, but he MIGHT still not be a great asset for WHIP if you're in a straight roto league. Bumgarner could be...

Re: Cody Ross

If your league doesn't include SB, I think that makes Boujos more expendable. He won't hit double digit HR, his OPS will be pretty low, and he K's a decent amount.
