Re: Dealing for Feliz and Chacin

My thoughts exactly. Chacin has much more of a chance to be pitching in August and September than Pineda does, and he has much less chance of regressing the "second time through the majors."

Dealing for Feliz and Chacin

I was just offered this trade, a day after picking up Lowrie:

I get: Feliz and Chacin
I give: Lowrie, Pineda, Lyon, and Farnsworth.

I'm really inclined to take this deal. Am I selling short on Lowrie or Pineda?

Moving Reyes?

Was offered my choice of Gallardo or Scherzer, along with Stephen Drew

for my Jose Reyes. I'd really like to get another solid arm, but is losing Reyes too much?

Jerry Sands called up

What should we expect? Is he more valuable than Belt right now?

Rank the closers...

I have Lyon and Burnett (in addition to Marmol and Axford), and Farnsworth, Boggs, and Motte are sitting on waivers. Who should I roster... I'm leaning toward dropping Burnett for Farnsworth, but Lyon just blows.

Hughes

Hughes is on FA in my league. I like his upside as a solid #4 pitcher in the second half, and I think my team can get by until then. Do you like him better than Niese, Stauffer, or Beachy? I'm leaning toward dropping Niese for him right now.

Re: Assistance with 8x8 h2h league

If you just like Hanley better, do it; it's your team. But for that format, all the added categories favor Pujols. TB, BB, and K's, Pujols is better in all three. I'd go Pujols, especially with the added categories, but again, go with your gut.

Re: How'd I do?

Thanks Grey, I appreciate the input. After getting Reyes and a couple of balanced outfielders along with Votto, I kinda forgot about speed, and I don't think I lost much in the end. I was able to get Torres late, so that worked well. In a daily league, I wanted to get a couple more veteran, reliable...

How'd I do?

12 team daily H2H league, start an extra utility player, and it's 8x8 scoring: Standard plus 2B, K's, OBP and L, QS, K/BB. C: JP Arencibia (27th) 1B: Joey Votto (1st) 2B: Aaron Hill (13th) 3B: Mark Reynolds (10th) SS: Jose Reyes (3rd) OF: Matt Holliday (2nd) OF: Hunter Pence (5th) OF: Chris Young (7...
