Re: ESPN 10 Teamer Mock

It's an insanely strong team. Are you sure it wasn't you against 9 computers/13 year-old girls? FYI, Ziegler's not bad, but Devine will probably be the closer. No not sure at all. All this "practice" is more about memorizing draft apps and rankings b/c seem like all the free leagues and mocks suffe...

Re: ESPN 10 Team Mock Auction (Mauction?)

$9 for Devine

Ianetta for $4 was awesome, and I had strategy to make it possible: I spent most of my nominations putting out Catchers, this way most of the teams already had a catcher by the time he was nominated.

Re: RCL Original Recipe Division

I will be traveling back from Spring Training on that day, so it's not particularly ideal for me, however if it works for everyone else, I won't stand in the way as I realize the logistics of this thing can be pretty hairy.

Re: First Rounders Moving Out of the Leadoff Spot

The ability wouldn't change, but the frequency almost certainly would. Here's some numbers for thought: Career Line (3485 PA): BA/OBP/SLG/OPS/BAbip .287/.336/.436/.773/.310 RISP (728 PA): BA/OBP/SLG/OPS/BAbip .293/.366/.475/.840/.311 Overall with Men On (1156 PA): BA/OBP/SLG/OPS/BAbip .287/.354/.44...

Re: Yahoo Mock Drafting

I think it b/c they are flooded with people in line to get a spot, if you watch carefully the little icons will briefly change to "Join" then flash back, I think it's people jumping in real fast ahead of us.

Re: First Rounders Moving Out of the Leadoff Spot

Personally I think moving Reyes down is very beneficial to his fantasy value. Also, I think the argument that he's "a leadoff guy" is akin to Dusty saying he doesn't want people "clogging up the bases". I'd rather have a 300 hitter batting with RISP than with the bases empty, plus he should see bett...
