Rule Change Impact

My league-mates are considering changing a couple of rules in our league. I am wondering how you guys think it will impact my league (i.e. should i draft more elite SP's, less?). We play in a points based h2h keeper league with 12 teams. Here is our current scoring system: Scoring for Batting Catego...

1st Year in Keeper League

12 Team points based H2H league. Very similar to the scoring system used in fantasy football (you get points for Hits, HR's, etc..and get a W or L each week). Last year we elected to keep up to 3 players. I've chosen to keep Tulowitski (cost me my 11th round pick), Nelson Cruz (21st round), and Ian ...

Re: points based league strategy

Thank you Grey. Do you feel that way because of the +10 for wins? I've sort of taken your approach (that you generally talk about on this site) and have tried to acquire batters in my first 2-3 picks because they are generally "safer" and waited to take 2nd tier SP's because there is a greater risk ...

points based league strategy

We play in a 12 team H2H points based league. We score points (like +1 per single, +1 per strikeout) and total them up for a final score that determines the winners. I've included our full scoring system below. I was wondering just how different of an approach I should take when drafting or ranking ...

Jason Heyward

Grey - where do you recommend this guy should be drafted this year? it looks like he is going to be way too overhyped to get for fair value. Agreed?

Roto vs. Points League (H2H)

Grey - Would you say that your Tiers and Top 300 lists are still accurate for a non-roto player like myself? (and to continue that point, how much is all of your fantasy advice geared towards Roto)...I'm in a 12 team H2H points based league. I absolutely love having tiers on hand to use during my dr...

Re: points league keepers

Grey -

This is my first year in the keeper league. If I do keep Tulo, Cruz and Stewart, how do you recommend this influence my drafting? I realize Tulo would be my starting SS, but do you recommend I look at Stewart as my starting 2B? And Cruz - do you view him as a solid #2 OF?

Thanks,

Sean

points league keepers

12 Team Head to Head Points Based League (NO ROTO!!). We can keep 1, 2 or 3 players each year. The rule is that you cannot keep an individual player for more than 3 years straight years. Each keeper costs us one round higher than the spot we picked them in the previous years. Here are the players I'...
