Tough WR call...small roster

Man...long time listener, first time caller (this season, anyway). Really having trouble with this one. 16 teams, PPR, QB-WR-WR-RB-RB-TE-K-D. 5 man bench. You really can't make a management mistake. And I have this problem: Megatron v NE Dez Bryant @ NO Brandon Lloyd v StL Vincent Jackson @ IND Whic...

Re: jeff niemann 2010 preview!!

Nieman's track record so far on fangraphs: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=8591&position=P I don't think you can expect him to continue to K a batter an inning. I like the MARCEL projections on him: 10 wins, a 4.20 ERA, 110 K's, 1.36 WHIP in 155 IP. I think that's pretty fair, although...

Miltdown (Bratley)

Oh man...this one's so obvs. I had Milton Brat-ley first, but I think a Miltdown is better. But seriously, this guy has entertained me so much this year. Every year. My absolute fav from him was when he charged like a lunatic to the announcer's booth after Lefebvre last year, then broke down in tear...

Re: Greinke's Worth

Ok, gotcha, that makes more sense (since you're in an auction league). But still think you're dealing him when his value is the lowest it's gonna be and you're losing $55 plus whatever you paid for the other pitcher you're giving him. You'll be basically downgrading at SS (Zob's ain't no Reyes, even...

Re: Greinke's Worth

He's trying to lowball you. Reyes (by himself) is worth more than Grienke. Stand firm and shop him around. Someone like Javier Vazquez would be a good addition (and cheaper) on that staff, btw.

after-the-fact but analysis appreciated

I just traded Fonso Soriano and Fuentes for Carlos Lee, Capps and Qualls. It looks like a push, but we're bullish on closers in our league (easy sell high) and I need the upgrade at ribbies badly. Am I overlooking something here? 10 team H2H, stats are R/HR/RBI/K's/SB/BA/OBP for hitters and W/SV/Hit...

Re: Wright's lack of power (good read)

@ Paper Tiger I'd totally trade Wright for Miggy if I could get him. You can always grab cheap speed to cover your loss there. Hell, I'd probably trade him for Evan as well. Especially in a keeper. I suppose you've just got to commit to whatever you think the under/over is on Wright's HR's this year...

Re: Wright's lack of power (good read)

Wright's career BABIP is .341 (stellar to be sure). His BABIP for this year is .463. A standard regression to the mean indicates that Wright is seemingly due for a batting average collapse in short order when his slap hitting ways become less effective. I don't think he'll regress. His BABIP is up ...
