Mediating a Deal (Is It Fair?)

We use keepers in our league and an owner got offered Justin Upton and Allen Craig for Justin Verlander, or Bryce Harper for Justin Verlander. Upton can be kept for a 4th Rd pick next year, and Craig a 24th Rd pick. Harper can be kept for a 19th Rd Pick. Verlander is unkeepable, hence why the owner ...

I Trade Craig, I Get Hosmer

I have this silly little team that can't pitch consistently. I'm gearing up to make a Upton (Justin, aka 'The One Worth Mentioning') for Verlander swap later this month. I can pull that off only because Upton has solid keeper value next year, Verlander has none. BUT that trade would leave me a littl...

I Need Pitching. Help.

Team is in the signature. I really need to get some starting pitching, and soon. Would trading Justin Upton for a top of the line pitcher be a smart idea? I'm looking at trading him for Cole Hamels, or Zack Greinke. I'd be trusting a lot that Rasmus is for real with his hot hitting, or that I can co...

Phil Hughes

Not that I'm saying he's be good thus far, but I think there is reason to be hopeful. His FB% is a little high, as with his IFH%. His HR/FB is almost double what his career average has been. Right now, he's striking out a batter per inning, and controlling his walks rather well, which tells me that ...

Pineda as a Keeper

I have the ability to keep Pineda next year for my 19th round draft pick. Do I still keep him? Or do I drop him like he's hot, considering that I'm also benching two other DL'd pitchers right now?

... Why? Halladay, MadBum, and Lester are not formidable enough?

Re: Blockbuster Trade offered...

Great trade for you. Moore has had a lackluster start to the season, and Rollins is very replaceable at this point in time. In comparison, you get a potential Cy Young candidate and a top tier 3B/SS in return. Assuming Hanley has SS eligibility in your league. Rollins to Cozart is not enough of a dr...

Re: Shin Soo Choo Trade

I'm putting some faith a lot of faith in David Freese by making this trade, but what do people think?

Shin Soo Choo Trade

I would give Shin Soo for Kyle Drabek and Jake Peavy. I could use more options at SP, as can be seen from my sig.
